Mini-Poste
Mini-Poste is an ambitious and innovative project designed to impact life decisions of youth between the ages of 10 and 11 in the multi-ethnic community of Côte-des-Neiges. This anti-gang project seeks to mitigate the lure of street gangs. Its focus is to present positive alternatives to the 144 children expected to participate in the four year project.
The project attempts to create positive group interactions in the schools, to bolster a sense of belonging, to demystify the police. It is hoped the project will raise levels of self-esteem and encourage a sense of responsibility to their community.
